Waste Management From Street To Chic

This project would launch a bold 12-month advocacy campaign to spark the policy changes needed to transform our waste management system. This initiative will champion investment in modern infrastructure, comprehensive education on waste reduction, and the transition toward a publicly managed waste system that prioritizes equity, sustainability, and community control.

Our current waste management system is outdated, inequitable, and often driven by profit rather than public good. This campaign is essential to push for policies that ensure sustainable infrastructure, community education, and public accountability.

Funding for this campaign will directly support community members and grassroots organizations in neighborhoods most affected by environmental inequities and chronic disinvestment. These residents will lead as organizers, educators, and advocates, driving policy change, shaping messaging, and ensuring the solutions reflect the lived experiences of those most impacted.
