Building Stronger Minds, Achieving Higher Ground in Little Horse

This program will provide mental health support for children & youth living below the poverty line. It will include a support counselor, clinical & supportive services to reduce anxiety & increase socio-economic well-being.

Seventy-five percent (75)% of Little Horse is living below the poverty line, which means the majority of the community may lack access to mental health care.

Although this program caters to children’s and youth mental health, it will benefit the entire community. It will lead to violence reduction, prevent bullying and improve the environment in schools, and educational material on mental health support will be shared with parents & caregivers. This program will be evaluated to assess the impact it is producing in the community.

This project will take place at a community center and it will be a partnership between the Y Alliance & school districts in the area.
